Been borrowing a 6088 from family for years, but it's finally time I buy my own combine. I might be switching to 36' Shelbourne stripper head from sticking with Drago all these years tho. I know that the 88s are really good but I'm looking for something with bigger sieves, stronger feederhouse, and maybe better with the stripper head. Thoughts?

For the 36' Shelbourne stripper head I think you should start to consider something like case ih 7250 or 8250, both of which can handle the dry and heavy material from the stripper head. John dereee s770 or s780 are another great options that can help you with what you want. Not sure if I want to recommend something from new holland mainly because parts can be scares sometimes

What's making you consider switching to the Shelbourne stripper head now instead of sticking with the Drago? are you hoping for better efficiency or less maintenance with the new setup?

Agreed, both the 7250 and 8250 have got the muscle and rotor setup you need for that heavy flow from a 36 foot stripper. Those S-series Deere machines can eat it up, too. Parts availability could be a concern with New Holland
