Converting used Lexion 750

I'm looking at purchasing a used Lexion 750. It's set up for corn harvesting but I would need it for harvesting smaller grains like oats and wheat. For those of you who have done this type of conversion before, what are the key components that usually need to be switched out? I'm guessing it would at least involve the APS grates and the concaves. If you have more insights on what the conversion process entails, I'd appreciate your advice!

You're doing great! Just make sure to change the APS grates and concaves for the small grain ones switch to finer sieves (lower sieve around 10mm and upper sieve at 22mm) and adjust the rotor speed and clearance to fit.It could also help to look at the feeder chain setup based on your header.After that it's just about fine-tuning the settings

I agree with swapping out the sieves too or maybe adjusting rotor speed settings for the smaller grains.

also, just curious are you planning on doing the conversion yourself or working with a dealer?

Everyone agrees with the recomendations and so will I, but I'll throw in another piece of advice. Consider installing a grain loss monitor kit which is great for tweaking the settings in the first few runs to make sure everything is set up as you want it to be

When we decided to switch from corn to barley on our trusty old 740, we definitely dropped the ball on the feeder setup. It caused us a world of trouble until we finally got it sorted out. Once we tackled that, along with the usual swap of the grate and sieve, the machine just glided along effortlessly
